Young adults today tend to spend more time online than previous generations, and as a result, they may not have as many opportunities to meet new people in real life. Additionally, many young adults are busy with school, work, or other commitments, which can make it difficult to socialize and meet new people.

Another reason why we may be hesitant to approach people in person is a fear of rejection. In today's world, social media and dating apps can offer a certain level of anonymity and protection. If someone is rejected online, they can simply move on to the next person without having to face the potential embarrassment of being turned down in person. This can make it easier for people to put themselves out there and take risks when it comes to dating.

However, approaching someone in person can be more intimidating. It requires a certain level of confidence and vulnerability, and the fear of rejection can be magnified when the potential rejection is happening face-to-face. This fear of rejection can be even more intense for members of Generation Z, who have grown up in a world where their self-worth is often tied to social media likes and followers.
